At QOCO, we're transforming the aviation industry with smart, AI-driven software. We are now looking for an experienced
Engineering Manager to lead and grow one of our development teams. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a scale-up environment and wants to combine strategic thinking with strong leadership and technical acumen.
As Engineering Manager, you will be a key player in ensuring our software teams are aligned, efficient, and continuously improving. While you won't be coding daily, your deep understanding of modern development practices and scalable architecture will guide the team to deliver high-quality, future-proof solutions. You'll work closely with product, design, and the development team to deliver value to our aviation clients around the world.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and coach a cross-functional development team.
- Drive the team’s performance, engagement, and career development.
- Ensure technical excellence through best practices in architecture and development.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Support the adoption of AI-powered tools and development practices.
- Oversee delivery of scalable and secure SaaS solutions, particularly on Microsoft Azure.
Your profile
You are a natural leader with a strong background in software development and team management. You thrive when helping people grow and ensuring teams deliver high-quality work efficiently.You will succeed in this role if you:
- Have experience leading software development teams in a SaaS environment.
- Understand modern cloud platforms and architectures (Azure is a plus).
- Have a strong grasp of software engineering best practices, CI/CD, and DevOps.
- Are a great communicator and empathetic leader who builds trust and motivation.
- Embrace agility, change, and experimentation in a scale-up setting.
- Speak and write English fluently.
